Washington, D.C.

Located in Chantilly, our hotel is located near Virginia Wine Country and just 24 miles from Washington, D.C. Spanning the distance from the foot of the United States Capitol to the Potomac River, the 1,000 acres of green space that encompasses the National Mall and Memorial Parks is filled with monuments and memorials, tennis courts and even paddle boats. It is perfect for viewing the Jefferson Memorial and the famous cherry blossom trees. Other Washington landmarks attractions include Smithsonian Museums, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the White House and so much more.

Museums

Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum - View thousands of aviation and space artifacts at this companion facility of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, just a few moments away from our hotel. Displays include a Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, a Concorde and the Space Shuttle Discovery. Catch a bird's-eye view of air traffic at Washington Dulles International Airport from the soaring observation tower, or a fast-paced movie at the Airbus IMAX® Theater. Visitors can also view restoration projects in progress through a glass mezzanine at the museum's Restoration Hangar.

Sully Historic Site - Gain an understanding of 18th century life in Northern Virginia at Sully Historic Site. Construction of the main house at Sully was completed in 1799 by Richard Bland Lee, the area's first Representative to Congress and an uncle to General Robert E. Lee. Listed on the National Register for Historic Places and accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the historic site also includes original outbuildings, representative slave quarters and gardens. Guided tours describe the early 19th century life of the Lee family, tenant farmers and enslaved African Americans; programs reflect the history of Fairfax County through the 20th century.

Eating and Drinking

The Winery at Bull Run is a scenic working farm vineyard on 225 acres adjacent to Manassas National Battlefield Park. It features an 1800s-style barn and a 1920s-era dairy barn and is the largest working farm in Fairfax County. Today, the Winery at Bull Run hosts private events, as well as walk-in wine tastings for groups of up to eight guests, seven days a week. 

Mustang Sally Brewing Company is a classic American craft brewery, inspired by Old World tradition. Situated near the intersection of Routes 28 and 50 in Chantilly, this local favorite a just a short drive from our hotel. It occupies more than 14,000 square feet of space, including a 4,000-square-foot tasting room with a courtyard, a private event area and traditional tasting room. A menu of small plates and Panini sandwiches is available, or guests can bring their own food. 

Reston Town Center boasts more than 50 shops, 30 restaurants, an 11-screen cinema and open-air pavilion, and is a community destination for shopping, dining, special events and winter ice skating.

Family Fun

Treat your family to resort-style amenities and have fun without ever leaving the hotel. Situated on a Certified Wildlife Habitat, the Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles features an indoor pool, ideal for year-round play. When the weather is warm, you can bask in the sunshine and take a refreshing dip in the sparkling water of our seasonal heated outdoor pool. The hotel also offers a whirlpool and sauna. Other recreational activities include tennis courts, walking trails and lighted basketball courts.

Golfing

Indulge yourself at the award winning Westfields Golf Club, located near our campus. Carved through natural wetlands, rolling hills, and majestic beech and oak trees, Westfields Gold Club offers golfers a setting that is virtually free from distraction. After a round, relax with Mulligans, the club's indoor/outdoor dining area.

Outdoor Activities

Walk the Hotel Grounds - Whether looking to do some hiking on the hotel trails or take in the morning air on a brisk morning walk, we have the space to take in our natural beauty (see photo to left).

Great Falls - Explore one of the nation's first canals, witness the magnificent Great Falls of the Potomac or enjoy a hike along the cliff tops of Mather Gorge at the 800-acres Great Falls Park. The three overlooks of the Great Falls are all within a short walk of the visitor center and parking lots. Trail maps are available at the visitor center and entrance station. Great Falls Park is a trash-free park, so you should be prepared to carry out everything you bring with you, including trash generated during your visit. Open every day, park hours are 7 a.m. to dark.

Cox Farms - Celebrate the four seasons at Cox Farms in Centreville, not far from our hotel in Chantilly. A local tradition for generations, the Cox Farms Fall Festival is the highlight of autumn for many. Other seasons allow the farm's greenhouses to supply spring bedding plants, while fresh local produce can be found during July and August. Holiday decorations and Fraser Firs are accompanied by visits from Santa in December.

Ox Hill Battlefield Park is the site of Fairfax County's only major Civil War engagement. More than 1,500 soldiers were killed or wounded during the battle, which was waged in a torrential thunderstorm on Sept. 1, 1862. The conflict was named the Battle of Chantilly by the Union Army, and the Battle of Ox Hill by Confederates. It's located near our hotel and well worth a visit for history buffs.

Pleasant Valley Golf Club showcases a beautiful, natural layout in a park-like setting in Chantilly. The course was designed by Tom Clark in 1998 and features a pristine landscape of rolling hills, hardwood trees and native meadows. The club's 18 championship holes are accompanied by a modern clubhouse with a modern Pro Shop, practice facilities and more. Pleasant Valley is just a short drive from our hotel. 

Ellanor C. Lawrence Park, located in western Fairfax County, was established to preserve large areas of open space, protect natural and cultural features and provide public recreational opportunities. Bird watchers, culture buffs and families will all love it here. The park is also home to sports and educational programs. 

Ticonderoga Farms will delight kids of all ages, offering hands-on agricultural experience and outdoor classrooms. Seasonal events including an Easter Egg Hunt Spectacular, a Summer Barnyard Bash, Fig Fest and a Fall Festival. Venues are also available for group events, including birthday parties, school field trips, family reunions and corporate picnics. Children can enjoy activities including slides, Pillow Bounce, Noah's Ark, Goat Tower with petting animals, Giant Bamboo Maze, Virginia's Longest Swinging Bridge, hayrides and more.
