Transportation
Within a one-day drive of more than half the country and with over 2,900 daily flights, Chicago's central location makes it easily accessible. When in town, a vast public transportation system and fleet of taxis ensure that you can get where you are going fast. Trains
Amtrak makes getting to your destination an enjoyable, memorable part of the trip. Amtrak serves Chicago with about 50 trains arriving and departing daily. With 21,000 route miles in 46 states, the District of Columbia and three Canadian provinces, the national rail operator Amtrak offers more than 300 trains each day-at high speeds up to 150 miles per hour-to more than 500 destinations.
Chicago Transit Authority (CTA)
Chicago is one of the few cities in the world that provides rapid transit service to two major airports. From the downtown area, the CTA's Blue Line takes customers to O'Hare International Airport in about 40 minutes, while the Orange Line takes customers to Midway Airport in about 30 minutes. The CTA operates the nation's second largest public transportation system and covers the City of Chicago and 38 surrounding suburbs. On an average weekday, 1.5 million rides are taken on the CTA.
Bike Rental
A bike sharing system, featuring thousands of bikes at hundreds of stations from Andersonville to Hyde Park, is available 24/7, 365 days a year. Each station has a touchscreen kiosk, station map, and a docking system that releases bikes using a member key or ride code. Intended to provide both Chicagoans and Out-of-Towners with an additional transportation option for getting around the city, Divvy is fun, easy and affordable.

Taxis
Taxis are plentiful and easy-to-hail downtown and at the airports, plus offer a convenient way to get around the city. Credit cards are accepted in all cabs by city mandate.
