Indian Mound Park features a prehistoric burial mound overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. Daily tours take visitors to the top of the historic 175-stair Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse, which was first illuminated in 1907. Several historic homes near the hotel offer a window into bygone eras, including the 1916 Sample-McDougald Home with its annual antique auto show and the restored 1940s Kester Cottages.
