Windsor Castle

Less than 4 miles from our hotel, Windsor Castle is the oldest castle in the world and the official weekend residence of Her Majesty the Queen. It was founded in 11th century by William the Conqueror and has been home of 39 monarchs. It is home to St George's Chapel, the location of many royal weddings including Prince Harry and Ms Meghan Markle.

Windsor Racecourse

Located on the banks of the River Thames, Windsor Racecourse is famed for its horse races. Set in 165 acres of stunning Berkshire countryside, it is the perfect destination for racing and events. Between April and October there are 27 fixtures with something to suit everyone; highlights including Ladies Day and the Best of British Festival.

Eton College

Eton College is a British independent boarding school for boys aged between 13 to 18 years educating more than 1,300 pupils. Eton has educated 19 British Prime Ministers and generations of the aristocracy, and has been referred to as being the chief nurse of England's statesmen.

Dorney Rowing

Nestled amongst scenic parkland, Dorney Lake is a renowned rowing and flat-water canoeing facility with an inspiring Olympic Heritage. It was home to both the 2012 Olympic and Paralympics. With plentiful parking and a idyllic setting it is well worth a visit during your hotel stay.


LEGOLAND® Windsor offers something for the whole family with over 55 interactive rides and attractions. There are over 12 lands to explore, including Heartlake City and Pirates Shores. If you need a break from rides there are plenty of tasty treats to fill up on, stop by Papa Moles for delicious doughnuts, or tuck into fish and chips at the Harbourside Fish & Chips restaurant.

The Long Walk

Be sure to visit The Long Walk during your UK holiday. This tree-lined avenue stretches down towards Windsor Castle with an iconic view. In this surrounding areas, red deer can be easily spotted, with a population of around 500 that roam freely around the enclosure. The walk stretches for 2.64 miles and is a very popular route with runners.

Cliveden National Trust

Cliveden is a National Trust estate on the boarder of Berkshire. The mansion sits on a 40-metre bank above the River Thames. It has been the home of three countesses, two dukes, a Prince of Wales and an earl. More recently, Meghan Markle resided there the night before the Royal Wedding. This is one of the National Trust's most popular attractions, with 460,000 visitors in 2016.
