What's going on in Paris?

Spring & Summer

In May, you can assist to one of the bigger tennis tournaments of the year: the French Open, Rolland Garos. June 21, the summer solstice is always marked on a Parisian's calendar - and that's because it is the day of Fête de la Musique, a nationwide music festival.

If Paris can't go the beach in the summer, let the beach come to Paris. That's the idea behind Paris Plage, a fun and popular escape for locals and visitors alike.

July 14 is France's biggest national holiday. This day is marked in Paris with a parade down the Avenue des Champs Élysees in front of the hotel, and a fantastic fireworks display at night. And, the city is adorned in tricolor flags and it's all so very French!

If you're in France on the final Sunday of the annual Tour de France in July, do everything in your power to be on Champs Elysees to witness the heartbreak and heroics.

Autumn & Winter

Beginning at the stroke of midnight on the third Thursday of every November, Paris welcomes the arrival of the Beaujolais Nouveau with celebrations that happen around the city (cafes, wine bars and bistros).

From November to the beginning of January, enjoy the Christmas illuminations on the avenue des Champs Elysees and in many other places across the city that make Paris more magical than ever! Also, Paris plays host to several great Christmas markets around the city, particularly on the Champs Elysees, that are not only home to some delicious holiday treats and mulled wines, but also some nice shopping opportunities. You can go ice skating as several ice rinks pop up around Paris in the winter months in festive and beautiful locations around the city.
