About the Paris Marriott Champs Elysees Hotel

At once totally unique and completely Parisian, the luxury accommodation at the Paris Marriott Champs Elysees Hotel will delight you with its 5-star elegance. Originally Louis Vuitton's atelier, the hotel's gilded balconies, huge wrought-iron doors, cobblestone courtyard, and Art Nouveau façade combine to create an unparalleled ambiance.

History

The building was erected in 1914 by renowned luggage manufacturer Vuitton, with the same attention to detail and emphasis on 5-star quality that has made the luxury firm's luggage admired throughout the world. Its frontage onto Paris' Champs-Elysées is registered on the supplementary list of Historical Monuments. Although distinctly contemporary with regard to materials used, the building remains classical in terms of style, with a stunning glass-roofed atrium lobby and an inner terrace for lunches and cocktails, which transforms into a covered and heated winter garden during colder months.

Designer Grace Leo Andrieu's quote

"The notion of luxury conveys a sense of rarity about it."

"I often imagine myself as a foreign visitor coming into a hotel for the very first time. The décor should somehow fulfill my fantasies and expectations, and describe how I would be spending a few days in a specific environment. I didn't want standard, predictable interiors that could be anywhere in the world, but a friendly place with almost a local, neighborhood vibe.

So for the Marriott Paris Champs-Elysees hotel, I wanted the place to feel like the City of Lights with guests greeted with a warm, sincere welcome, not a corporate one."
