San Diego divides itself into two neighborhoods: Mission Valley East and Mission Valley West. Today, our hotel near Mission Valley is an important base for enjoying the shopping and entertainment centers of America's Finest City, which offers plenty of things to do and see.

Old Town

Old Town San Diego, a few minutes north of our hotel near Mission Valley represents what life in California was like in the area during the early 1800s. The lively, authentic atmosphere of Old Town is known for its Mexican restaurant's museums, boutiques, art galleries and theaters.

Gaslamp Quarter

Visitors will find plenty of things to do in the Gaslamp Quarter with more than 100 of the city's finest restaurants, pubs, nightclubs and retail shops all in one spot. A veritable playground for San Diego tourists and locals, the Gaslamp Quarter is rich with cultural and things to do.


Visitors will find an incredible variety of beaches - including expansive sandy stretches, rocky cliffs, reefs, tide pools and everything in between - along the San Diego coastline. On any given day at any given beach, you'll have a front-row seat for the sun's spectacular descent in the West.

San Diego Zoo 

An urban paradise for all ages, the San Diego Zoo is a must-see for any San Diego visitor and offers plenty of things to do around our hotel near Mission Valley. With amazing habitats for exotic animals including koalas, gorillas, tigers, and pandas this facility is a leader in animal care and conservation.


Just 20 minutes north of San Diego in Carlsbad, LEGOLAND is a hands-on experience with more than 60 rides, shows and attractions. There are plenty of things to do to keep visitors of any age occupied and entertained.

San Diego Trolley 

The iconic bright red San Diego Trolley stops just steps from our Mission Valley hotel and provides convenient service throughout downtown and heads out to various locations such as Old Town and the Gaslamp Quarter, where plenty of things to do in San Diego await.


Guests can enjoy one-stop shopping at one of the major malls or centers just steps from our hotel, including Fashion Valley Mall and Mission Valley Mall. There are also a number of great shopping communities including Old Town, Little Italy, Hillcrest in Uptown and the Gaslamp District.

Qualcomm Stadium 

Football fans don't want to miss the opportunity to see the San Diego Chargers play live. With five division titles over the past 10 seasons, the Chargers' home games at Qualcomm Stadium near our hotel offer a signature San Diego experience.


With family, casual, quick-serve and upscale dining establishments offering everything from the most authentic Mexican cuisine to Asian, you're bound to find fare to satisfy your palate in Mission Valley. San Diego has also made quite a name for itself in the artisanal beer community.


San Diego's professional baseball team, the San Diego Padres, play their home games at PETCO Park in downtown typically from early April to late September. This venue offers stunning views of San Diego Bay and the San Diego skyline.

Downtown San Diego 

The Embarcadero boardwalk hugs the east side of San Diego Bay and is home to the San Diego Cruise Terminal, the Navy Pier and Seaport Village. Explore the ships at the USS Midway Museum or Maritime Museum of San Diego, or hop on a harbor cruise and explore the many things to do and see in the San Diego Bay near our Mission Valley hotel.

San Diego Convention Center 

Home to conventions such as Comic Con, the San Diego Convention Center is within easy walking distance of an array of restaurants, retail stores and world-class entertainment and provides many options for things to do in San Diego.
