Spa Soleil FAQs

Honor the environment with quiet; it is one of tranquility and relaxation. Remember that your treatment will end on time so that the next guest is not delayed. The use of cell phones, cameras and electronic devices are not permitted in the spa. Arrive early. Don't cheat yourself out of your relaxation time. Please be respectful of your surroundings.

How do I make a reservation?
To ensure the times and treatments you want, we recommend making a reservation for all your spa treatments. Please plan ahead, as weekends and holidays book up quickly at the resort. You may contact us via e-mail or telephone to schedule spa treatments. A credit card is required to hold your appointment as there is a 24 hour cancellation policy on all services.

What if I have special health conditions?
Your health and safety is always our first concern. Please make sure to inform the spa concierge of any physical conditions you have that may affect your spa treatments, including, but not limited to skin irritations, high blood pressure, heart condition, pregnancy, epilepsy, post-operative states and diabetes. If you are in the first trimester of pregnancy we do not perform massage treatments.

What do I wear during the treatment?
You are provided with a robe, spa sandals, and a towel in your private locker. For massages, undress to your comfort level. For body treatments or teen services we suggest a bathing suit for your comfort.

What if I experience any discomfort during my treatment?
Our spa staff is renowned for their amazing diversity, and depth of knowledge of the healing arts. We celebrate all their varied backgrounds and value their many skills, talents and gifts which they bring to Spa Soleil. If you have a special request to make your treatment more enjoyable such as dimmer lights, softer music, an extra blanket, etc. Please do not hesitate to ask. If there are certain things you wish your therapist NOT to do such as work on your feet, your face, your abdomen or scalp/hair, please communicate your desires. Your satisfaction is a priority. If something is not to your comfort, please let your service provider know immediately. We will do everything possible to make sure your spa experience is an enjoyable one.

What about my jewelry and valuables?
Please leave these personal items in the safe in your hotel room. You are provided with a locker to lock up personal items, and you are responsible for any valuables you may bring into the facilities. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

What if I am late for an appointment?
Arriving late will decrease the time of your treatment. Your treatment must end on time, so that the next guest is not delayed. We will be able to provide as much of your scheduled appointment as time allows.

What is the Cancellation Policy?
Twenty-four hour (24) notification is required for all canceled or changed spa appointments to avoid a 50% cancellation fee. Missed appointments will be charged 100% of treatment scheduled plus gratuity.

Teen Policy
Young adults between the ages of 12-17 may freely enjoy Teen Spa Treatments with the permission of a parent or guardian. Anyone under 12 is not permitted in the spa facilities.

Will I be able to purchase the products that are used in my treatments?
We carry a full array of professional spa products so you can duplicate the benefits at home. We also ship direct to you should you want to reorder upon returning home.

How do I determine which facial to choose?
The estheticians at Spa Soleil are trained to customize each of our facial treatments for your particular skin through skin analysis. This may mean that you do not receive the facial you booked but one rather more suited to your skin type, which the esthetician and you will discuss what will work best for your skin concerns.

Should I shave my legs before my massage or body treatment? 
Shaving is recommended but please be sure to do so no less than four hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Certain products may irritate newly-shaven skin.

Should men shave before a facial?   
Shaving is recommended 4-6 hour prior to your scheduled appointment. But facial hair is perfectly acceptable to have a facial.

Cancellations
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. We charge 50% of your service with less than 24 hours' notice, and the whole service for no-call, no-shows.

Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV)

From the Hilton Head Airport, turn left onto Beach City Road. At the traffic light, turn left onto HWY 278E. Follow 278E to Queens Folly Rd. at the Palmetto Dunes traffic light and turn left into Palmetto Dunes. The Marriott Hilton Head Resort & Spa is located one mile into Palmetto Dunes, turn left before the guard gate.

Conveniently located next to Spa Soleil, our fully-equipped, 24-hour fitness center offers a range of state-of-the-art equipment and free weights, along with a stretching area.

We do not offer any fitness classes here at the resort, but are happy to help you find a trainer or a class eslewhere on Hilton Head.
